Direct answer

Before publishing AI-assisted social content, review the claim, the asset rights, any endorsement or testimonial, platform AI-label requirements, and the named approver. Escalate anything involving regulated claims, real-person likeness, customer experience, or unclear sponsorship.

The five-stage approval path

In LaunchMax, the publish gate below is built in: you approve every post before it goes out, unless you turn on auto-posting.

  • Brief: define the audience, offer, platform, format, claim boundary, source assets, and owner.
  • Draft review: check whether the post says only what the source material supports.
  • Rights review: confirm permission for product photos, customer material, creator clips, likeness, voice, music, and trademarks.
  • Disclosure review: decide whether you need a sponsorship, employment, affiliate, testimonial, or AI-generated-content label.
  • Publish gate: approve, request edits, or block, with a written reason and a named decision maker.

Source basis:FTC advertising guidance, FTC endorsement and review guidance.

Pre-publication checklist

A reviewer should be able to answer each item before a post moves from review to approved.

  • What specific claim does the post make, and where is the support?
  • Does the post include a customer review, result, endorsement, employee advocacy, or affiliate relationship?
  • Does any real person appear to say or do something they did not actually say or do?
  • Was realistic image, video, or audio generated or meaningfully altered with AI?
  • Is the disclosure visible in the post itself, not only behind a profile page, a description expansion, or a cluster of hashtags?
  • Does the platform have a built-in AI or branded-content disclosure tool that should be used in addition to visible copy?
  • Who can stop the post if a claim, rights, or disclosure answer is unclear?

Escalate these posts instead of guessing

  • Health, financial, employment, legal, safety, or performance claims, such as a post saying a sleep app cures insomnia.
  • Before-and-after results that imply typical outcomes.
  • Synthetic customer testimonials, fake reviews, or AI personas presented as actual users.
  • Realistic depictions of events, places, people, voices, or public figures that did not happen.
  • Any post using music, creator footage, customer photos, or employee advocacy without documented permission.

Approval record for an illustrative AI-UGC-style app post

This record is an original illustrative example. It is not legal advice, platform advice, or evidence of product performance.

Draft
A synthetic presenter describes an app's export feature and says it works with every file type. No personal customer result is claimed.
Claim check
Allowed only if the app store page or approved brand sheet supports the file-type claim. Remove any capability the app lacks, plus guaranteed-result and comparative superiority language.
Rights check
Use owned app screens, licensed music, and no cloned real-person voice unless permission is documented.
Disclosure check
Use platform AI-label tools where required for realistic AI-generated media. Add a sponsorship or material-connection disclosure when the post is an endorsement.
Decision
Approve only after the app owner signs off. Escalate if the synthetic presenter sounds like an actual user review.

Limitations

  • This workflow is educational and not legal advice.
  • Platform rules change; recheck official help pages before publishing sensitive campaigns.
  • Use the checklist as a review aid, not a guarantee that a campaign will be approved, compliant, or effective.
